Even the standard power circuit-breakers can be tripped reliably and quickly with the SFB technology (Selective Fusebreaking Technology) and six times the nominal current for 12 ms. Defective current paths are disconnected selectively, the defect is limited and the important system parts remain in operation. A comprehensive diagnostics is carried out by continuously monitoring the output voltage and current. This preventive function monitoring visualizes the critical operating modes and reports them to the control unit before an error occurs.

For applications where field power is required for switch inputs or 2-wire transmitters, the MTL7700 range provides a bussed power feed facility. When used in conjunction with the MTL7798 power feed module the user has a fully protected, electronically fused supply to many barriers with no additional wiring required.

Increasing the channel capacity of the dataTaker DT8x range is easy by adding the Channel Expansion Module (CEM20). Each CEM20 20 Channel Expansion Module connects 20 universal data logging channels to the dataTaker data logger. A CEM20 connects to one analog channel of the data logger. The effectively expands the total channel capacity of the DT80 to 320 analog inputs and the DT85 to 960 inputs. Incorporating the same dual isolation technology as the DT8x range of data loggers, each channel of the CEM20 can be used for two isolated inputs or three common reference inputs so the maximum inputs increase further.
